Maurice graduated from University College Cork in 1998. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2002, and has worked in a number of legal firms in Cork City and County before establishing Healy O'Connor Solicitors.
Maurice has extensive experience in general litigation and acts in a wide range of work encompassing family law, criminal law, debt collection, employment law and personal injuries law.
Maurice is also the Partner responsible for the firms Commercial Litigation advising companies on corporate and commercial disputes, including framing appropriate dispute resolution processes, be it mediation, alternative dispute resolution for contractual claims, professional indemnity and insurance claims.
In addition he specialises in providing strategic advice to the Credit Union Sector on debt recovery solutions and corporate compliance.
Shane is the Partner in charge of the Commercial Department. Shane also oversees the Property, Planning and Environmental Unit.
Shane's expertise is in advising Companies and Financial Institutions. He also acts for Developers in their acquisition and disposal of Shopping Centres, Offices and Industrial Premises and advises on all areas of Landlord and Tenant Law.
Shane has wide experience in advising in Employment issues for both Employees and Employers. He also advises extensively in Insolvency matters for companies facing liquidation and Private Clients facing possible Bankruptcy.
Prior to establishing Healy O'Connor Solicitors Shane worked for many years in a top ten Law firm in Dublin, in two different top three Law firms in Australia and in a Commercial Law firm in Cork. Shane has a BCL and an LLB from the University College in Cork and is also a qualified tax consultant holding the AITI qualification from the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. He was entered on to the Roll of Solicitors in 2001.
